ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:
SET-UP & BREAK DOWN:
Set-up and break-down aren't too much for our Coin Drops, but we appreciate all the help we can get in lugging tables, chairs, boots, brochures, and trash to/from our post.
ROAD TEAM:
Standing in the road, collecting donations, and/or handing out brochures. A safety vest (provided) MUST be worn.
THIRST AID:
Our hard-working Veterans (many disabled) must park down the road from our post and walk to grab some grub. If you'll be in the area and only have time to swing through the car line, consider dropping off much-appreciated drinks (hot coffee!!!) and snacks.
VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES & CONDUCT:
Sharing "war stories" is not appropriate and is highly discouraged
Offensive language will not be tolerated.​
Dress code is smart casual. This means wearing clean, professional attire that shows you care about your appearance and the agencies you represent.​
Children must be accompanied by an adult.​
No PETS.​
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own chair.Â
VOLUNTEER FACILITIES:
The Guilford Country Store is a 5-minute walk down the street. It is loaded with typical convenience store offerings. They also have a deli with a wide assortment of items, along with various sandwiches and the all-important coffee. We are allowed to use their facilities while on duty, but we CAN NOT PARK THERE.
DIRECTIONS:
We will be posted on US-5 between Patridge & Pauls Rd.
Parking at D&E Tree Company ONLY. (We may NOT use The Country Store lot)
Walk to our position is approximately 5 min south.
